Circular No. 24/2023: Guideline for Implementing United Nations Security Council Resolutions
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 24/2023 to mandate all lending institutions operating in Palestine to immediately adopt the approved Guideline for executing United Nations Security Council resolutions. The directive requires institutions to continuously monitor the Committee’s official website, promptly document the application of targeted financial sanctions, and train relevant personnel on procedures for combating terrorism and weapons of mass proliferation financing. Compliance is overseen by the Authority’s Supervision Group, with the circular formally copied to the Attorney General as Chairman of the implementing committee.
