The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon issued Interim Decision No. 13546 to amend Basic Decision No. 13384 regarding exceptional cash withdrawal measures. This decision repeals and replaces Article Four, extending the application of existing withdrawal conditions until April 30, 2023, with explicit provision for renewal. Interim Decision No. 13546 Amendment of Basic Decision No. 13384 dated 16/12/2021
The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, based on the Monetary and Loan Law, particularly Articles 70 and 174 thereof, and based on Basic Decision No. 13384 dated 16/12/2021 and its amendments regarding exceptional measures for cash withdrawals, and based on the decision of the Central Bank Council taken in its meeting held on 29/3/2023,
hereby decides as follows:
Article One: The text of Article Four of Basic Decision No. 13384 dated 16/12/20 is repealed and replaced with the following text: « This Decision shall come into force upon its issuance and its conditions shall apply for a period ending on 30/4/2023, renewable. »
Article Two: This Decision shall come into force upon its issuance.
Article Three: This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette.
