ASIC has disqualified Jimmy Yang and Freda Feng from managing corporations for the maximum five-year period due to their roles in collapsed agriculture businesses linked to a NSW corruption scandal. The regulator found the directors failed to meet statutory obligations, including insolvent trading, maintaining adequate records, and improperly using company funds to offer incentives to a former MP. The four affected companies owed over $56 million to creditors, and the disqualification lasts until December 2030.
