2022-01-26 | 13407The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon issued Central Decision No. 13407 to amend Article Four of Central Decision No. 13384, extending the validity period of exceptional cash withdrawal measures until February 28, 2022, with renewal capability. Enacted pursuant to Articles 174 and 70 of the Monetary and Banking Law, the decision takes immediate effect upon issuance. It was formally adopted by the Central Bank Council on January 26, 2022, and published in the Official Gazette.

Central Decision No. 13407 Amendment of Central Decision No. 13384 dated December 16, 2021
The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Pursuant to the Monetary and Banking Law, particularly Articles 174 and 70 thereof; Pursuant to Central Decision No. 13384 dated December 16, 2021, concerning exceptional measures for cash withdrawals; Pursuant to the decision of the Central Bank Council adopted in its meeting held on January 26, 2022;
Has decided as follows:
Article One: The text of Article Four of Central Decision No. 13384 dated December 16, 2021 is hereby repealed and replaced with the following: "This Decision takes effect upon its issuance, and its conditions apply for a period ending on February 28, 2022, renewable."
Article Two: This Decision takes effect upon its issuance.
Article Three: This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette.
