Basic Decision No. 7161 Deposits and Placements Linked to Credit Agreements
The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, pursuant to the Monetary and Credit Law, particularly Articles 146 and 147 thereof, based on the decision of the Central Council taken in its session held on 1998/11/10, decides as follows:
Article 1: All banks and financial institutions are requested, each insofar as it concerns them, to declare to the Banking Supervision Committee and the Economics Department of the Central Bank of Lebanon¹ the total deposits and placements linked to credit agreements falling within the core balance sheet - liabilities - according to the attached form annex. Institutions concerned that do not have deposits and placements linked to credit agreements shall send the aforementioned annex marked "None".
Article 2: The aforementioned annex in Article 1 shall be submitted with the monthly balance sheet, provided that the first annex is prepared in writing, dated December 31, 1998, and subsequent annexes are placed on a magnetic disk (Diskette).
Article 3: This decision shall take effect upon its issuance.

- Deposits and placements linked to credit agreements form part of the deposits and liabilities falling within the core balance sheet 2010 - Liabilities (Accounts 20800 - 21700 - 23200, etc.) and have no relation to the liabilities of credit accounts under Chapter 35200 off-balance sheet.
