Banque du Liban’s Intermediary Decision No. 13648 amends Basic Decisions Nos. 5258 and 7534 to reduce interest rates on US Dollar foreign currency deposit accounts and bank certificates of deposit by 75 percent. The reduced interest is payable in US Dollars to the respective current accounts of Lebanese operating banks at BDL, explicitly excluding cash funds. These amended provisions remain effective until 31 December 2024 and are published in the Official Gazette.
