ASIC and APRA 2025 Retirement Income Covenant Pulse Check Report
ASIC and APRA jointly released the 2025 Retirement Income Covenant Pulse Check report, highlighting a widening gap between trustees actively improving retirement outcomes and those making only incremental progress. The regulators urge superannuation trustees to accelerate the development of meaningful retirement income strategies to meet legal obligations and serve the diverse needs of over 1.5 million current retirees and 2.5 million approaching retirement. In addition to calling for industry-wide improvement, ASIC and APRA will provide individual feedback to trustees to ensure accountability for better member experiences.
