The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon issued Decision No. 12739 to amend Decision No. 7493 regarding financial operations and activities in financial markets. The amendment modifies Article 5 by establishing a maximum deadline of June 30, 2018, for banks and financial institutions in non-compliance with the regulation to regularize their status. This decision was adopted by the Central Bank Council on December 13, 2017, and became effective immediately upon issuance.
