ASIC takes action against 28 SMSF auditors in FY25
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has taken enforcement actions against 28 approved self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) auditors during the second half of FY25. These measures include disqualifying three auditors, imposing additional conditions on 12, and cancelling the registration of 13 for breaches such as failing to maintain independence or lodge annual statements. This brings the total number of ASIC's actions against SMSF auditors in FY25 to 48, reinforcing the regulator's oversight of the integrity of the SMSF regime.
