Charge against NSW director dismissed
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Cth) dismissed a charge against Mark Stevens, a director of MWCLMS Pty Ltd, following a referral from ASIC. Stevens was acquitted on 5 February 2026 after a four-day hearing at the Downing Centre Local Court for allegedly causing financial disadvantage by deception under the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW). This decision concludes the prosecution initiated after his initial appearance in July 2024.
