The Financial Follow-Up Unit of Palestine issued Decision No. (2025/2) on June 19, 2025, to update the lists of high-risk and enhanced-scrutiny countries in alignment with FATF standards. The decision designates North Korea, Iran, and Myanmar as high-risk jurisdictions requiring enhanced due diligence and specific prohibitions, while updating the enhanced-scrutiny list by adding Bolivia, the British Virgin Islands, and removing Croatia, Mali, and Tanzania. Financial institutions and designated non-financial businesses must implement these risk-based measures and consider the identified strategic deficiencies in the AML/CFT regimes of the listed countries.
