ASIC permanently bans Brett Trevillian from providing financial services
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has permanently banned Brett Paul Trevillian from providing financial services and engaging in credit activities following his conviction for serious fraud. Trevillian was convicted of creating and distributing forged performance verification reports to solicit investments from clients of AlphaThorn Pty Ltd, leading to a three-year sentence. The ban, effective from 18 August 2025, prohibits him from controlling financial entities or performing functions related to financial and credit services, and has been recorded on the banned and disqualified register.
