Circular No. 88/2022: Cabinet Decision No. 4 of 2021 Regarding the Minimum Wage
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 88/2022 to mandate compliance with Cabinet Decision No. 4 of 2021, which establishes a statutory minimum monthly wage of 1,880 shekels across all Palestinian sectors and regions. The decree additionally sets minimum daily and hourly compensation at 85 shekels and 10.5 shekels for casual and seasonal workers, formally integrates tripartite committee agreements, and repeals all conflicting regulations. Specialized lending institutions are legally bound to adhere to these wage floors effective January 2022, with implementation overseen by relevant competent authorities.
