Directors of Perth-based financial services company charged over five-year failure to lodge financial accounts with ASIC
ASIC charged Sheffield Insurance Pty Ltd directors Phillip Bird and Daniel Holmes with aiding the company's failure to lodge financial statements and auditor reports for the years 2019 to 2024. The charges, brought under sections 989B(2) and 989B(3) of the Corporations Act, allege the directors neglected their obligation to submit required documents within three months of each financial year's end. The matter was referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions and is scheduled for a hearing on 21 November 2025.
