Two former Statewide Super executives acquitted on charges of dishonesty offences
The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions secured acquittals for former Statewide Super executives Kieran Francis Netting and Grant David Eastwood following a trial in the District Court of South Australia. The jury cleared both individuals of dishonesty offences related to the procurement of services between February and December 2019, contrary to the Corporations Act. This prosecution was initiated after a referral from ASIC, with the defendants having pleaded not guilty in the Adelaide Magistrates’ Court before being committed for trial.
