ASIC bans Sydney mortgage broker Thi Hoa Trieu for ten years and cancels her credit licence
ASIC has banned Sydney-based mortgage broker Thi Hoa Trieu from engaging in credit activities for ten years and cancelled her Australian credit licence due to serious regulatory breaches. The regulator found that Ms Trieu was not a fit and proper person because she submitted false statements in compliance certificates, failed to maintain required records, and neglected to pay industry levies. This banning and licence cancellation took effect on 8 December 2025, with Ms Trieu retaining the right to appeal the decision to the Administrative Review Tribunal.
