Former financial services company director charged with dishonest conduct

ASIC has referred criminal charges against Donald James Cuthbertson, a former director of Professional Wealth Management, for allegedly making dishonest representations to investors that caused losses of at least $850,000. The charges stem from false claims regarding share valuations and an intended stock exchange float between December 2018 and October 2019, leading to his permanent ban from the financial services industry in 2023. The matter is currently being prosecuted by the CDPP and has been adjourned to April 2026 for committal mention after additional charges were added.
