ASIC bans former credit and financial services representative Neil Andrew Cato for 5 years

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has banned former credit and financial services representative Neil Andrew Cato from engaging in credit activities and providing financial services for five years. This regulatory action was taken because Mr Cato failed to comply with two Australian Financial Complaints Authority determinations and was declared insolvent under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009. The ban prohibits him from controlling entities in these sectors and remains in effect until 27 February 2031, with a right to appeal to the Administrative Review Tribunal.
