Construction industry director charged with breach of director’s duties and providing false and misleading documents
ASIC has referred charges against Recep Cevis, a construction industry director, to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for breaching director duties and lodging false documents. Cevis is accused of incurring unrepayable finance for two Mercedes-Benz vehicles shortly before his companies were wound up and failing to disclose the debt in ASIC reports. The matter is currently proceeding through the Melbourne Magistrates Court with the next committal hearing scheduled for July 2026.
