ASIC permanently bans former credit representative Emmanuel Adu
ASIC has issued a permanent banning order against former credit representative Emmanuel Adu, prohibiting him from engaging in any credit activities or controlling others who do so. The regulator acted after Adu was convicted of falsifying Australian Federal Police certificates to conceal his criminal history during employment applications. This ban, effective from 1 July 2025, was exercised under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 due to Adu's convictions for fraud and dishonesty.
