The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) issued Report 827 to benchmark whistleblower policies across 134 entities and highlight significant gaps in corporate compliance. The review found that over one-third of companies lack dedicated reporting channels, a quarter fail to provide regular staff training, and more than half have not sought employee feedback on their programs. ASIC urges firms to adopt better practices such as anonymous reporting options and regular training to ensure effective protection and encourage disclosures of misconduct.
