The Central Bank of Lebanon issued Interim Decision No. 13368 to extend the validity of Basic Decision No. 13221, which governs exceptional cash withdrawal limits from foreign currency bank accounts, until January 31, 2022. This extension maintains current withdrawal restrictions to prevent adverse effects from rising domestic money supply while political stability sustains the US dollar exchange rate. The decision takes immediate effect and will be published in the Official Gazette, pending a comprehensive economic recovery plan and IMF negotiations.
