The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon issued Central Bank Circular No. 501 to amend Fundamental Decision No. 7776 dated February 21, 2001, which governs credit, investment, shareholding, and participation operations. The amendment specifically repeals Article 2 bis and paragraphs (2) and (3) of Article 1 of the aforementioned decision. This decision entered into force immediately upon its issuance and was published in the Official Gazette on August 3, 2018.
