Circular No. 89 of 2022: Cabinet Decision No. 4 of 2021 Regarding the Minimum Wage
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 89 of 2022 to mandate that all licensed exchangers operating in Palestine strictly comply with Cabinet Decision No. 4 of 2021, which establishes a minimum monthly wage of 1,880 shekels across all sectors. The decision further sets minimum daily and hourly rates at 85 shekels and 10.5 shekels respectively for casual and seasonal workers, incorporates tripartite committee agreements, and repeals conflicting regulations. This directive takes effect at the beginning of 2022 and requires all relevant authorities to enforce the new wage standards and publish them in the Official Gazette.
