The Central Bank of Lebanon issued Intermediary Circular 509 to amend Decision No. 6116 regarding financial facilities granted to banks and financial institutions. The amendment introduces new provisions for US Dollar loans for higher education studies, updates the scope of specific loan categories, and adds a new loan type to the BDL-PB table with defined interest rate and support limits. These changes were adopted by the Central Bank Council on October 3, 2018, and became effective immediately upon issuance.
