CADB cancels registration of Sydney auditor Sam Danieli for breaching duties across 10 ASX-listed audits
The Companies Auditors Disciplinary Board has cancelled the registration of Sydney auditor Sam Danieli following an ASIC investigation into systemic breaches of auditing standards. The Board found that Danieli failed to engage required quality reviewers for ten audits of ASX-listed companies in FY23 and FY24, constituting serious and prolonged misconduct. Danieli has applied to the Administrative Review Tribunal for a review of the decision, which also ordered him to pay ASIC's fixed costs of $73,000.
