The Central Bank of Lebanon issued Central Bank Circular No. 494 to promulgate Central Bank Decision No. 12822, which amends the foundational regulations governing financial institutions. This amendment replaces Article 7 of Decision No. 7136 to explicitly define the primary lending activities and secondary operations permitted for these institutions under regulatory supervision. The decision entered into force immediately upon issuance and was published in the Official Gazette on June 1, 2018.
