CDPP discontinues insider trading charges against Big Un former CFO Andrew Corner following hung jury
The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions has discontinued proceedings against Andrew Corner, the former CFO of Big Un Limited, after a jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. The CDPP decided against pursuing a retrial in accordance with the Prosecution Policy of the Commonwealth, leading ASIC to consider the matter finalised. This decision follows the earlier guilty plea of Big Un's former CEO, Richard Evans, to charges of communicating inside information.
