The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. (195/2011) to update and add sovereign codes for foreign diplomatic missions, consulates, and international organizations operating in Palestine. Banks must review existing facilities and accounts for these entities, update their records using the attached modified code list, and implement the new codes on the Credit Information System website for all financial and personal data declarations effective immediately. This directive supplements prior circulars governing the Credit Information System to ensure accurate identification and reporting of foreign institutional entities.

Further to our Circular No. (2007/160) issued on 28/10/2007, concerning the regulations governing the Credit Information System and Appendix No. (13) regarding the sovereign codes for institutions without a registration number for the purpose of declaring financial and personal data on credit transaction systems, we wish to note the addition and modification of certain sovereign codes for diplomatic missions, consulates, and international organizations operating in Palestine. Accordingly, banks are requested to do the following:
