Decision of the Board of Directors No. (144) for the Year 2021 dated 2021/9/12 Regarding the Extension of the Prescribed Period for Transferring Treasury Bills and Government Bonds to the Central Depository, Registration and Clearing Company for Government Securities

Board of Directors of the Financial Regulatory Authority

Having reviewed the Central Depository, Registration and Clearing Company for Government Securities Law issued by Law No. (93) of 2000;

and Law No. (10) of 2009 regulating supervision over non-banking financial markets and instruments;

and Decision of the Chairman of the Authority No. (1594) of 2020 regarding approval for establishing the Egyptian Central Depository, Registration and Clearing Company for Government Securities;

and after approval by the Board of Directors in its meeting held on 2021/9/12;

has decided:

(Article One)

The prescribed period for transferring Treasury Bills and Government Bonds to the Central Depository, Registration and Clearing Company for Government Securities is extended for six months, effective from 2021/6/27.

(Article Two)

This Decision shall be published in the Al-Waqai' Al-Masriya (Egyptian Gazette) and on the Authority's electronic website.
