**Re: Consultation on the Proposed Securitisation Law in Bahrain**
As part of the Central Bank of Bahrain’s (“CBB”) efforts to further develop the financial sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, please find enclosed a draft of the proposed Securitisation Law in Bahrain.
The proposed Law contains comprehensive articles with respect to all requirements relating to the securitisation transaction and undertaking activities for issuing securities in or from the Kingdom of Bahrain. The CBB requests all companies to provide their comments on this consultation document, including ‘nil comments’. Industry participants and other parties, such as auditors and law firms, are also encouraged to provide comments on the consultation available on the CBB website ([www.cbb.gov.bh](http://www.cbb.gov.bh)) under the Regulatory Functions/Consultations Section.
Please visit the CBB website and send your comments electronically to Mr. Ahmed Al Bassam, Director of Licensing & Policy and Mrs. Ebtsisam Al Arrayed, Head of Policy & Central Risk at “consultation@cbb.gov.bh”. All comments should be sent to the CBB on a date not later than 16<sup>th</sup> April, 2014.
