Extending the exemption period for importing meat and poultry of all kinds and sugar of all kinds for an additional period of 6 months ending at the end of December 2012.

Greetings, and welcome. By agreement with the banking sector, the following measures have been allowed: excluding imports of various foodstuffs, agricultural products, and medicines from the lowest tariffs for the benefit of banks in addressing export challenges without the lowest possible tariff **for a period of six additional months, ending by the end of December 2012**, while taking into account **regulatory considerations**. The banking family appreciates your attention and respect. In light of previous notice and considering the upcoming end of the stipulated period in November 2012, the following provisions will apply for six additional months ending by the end of December 2012: excluding imports of various foodstuffs, agricultural products, and medicines from the lowest tariffs for the benefit of banks in addressing export challenges without the lowest possible tariff. بالإشѧѧارة إلѧѧي آتѧѧاب قطѧѧاع الرقابѧѧة والإشѧѧراف رقѧѧم ١٤ المѧѧؤرخ ٢١ ديѧѧسمبر ،٢٠١٢ المتضمن " السماح للبنوك باستثناء عمليات استيراد آل مѧن اللحѧوم والѧدواجن بجميѧع أنواعهѧا، والѧѧسكر بجميѧѧع أنواعѧѧه لحѧѧساب التجѧѧار بغѧѧرض الاتجѧѧار فيهѧѧا أو الجهѧѧات الحكوميѧѧة مѧѧن الحѧѧد الأدنѧѧى لنѧѧسبة التѧѧامين النقѧѧدي البѧѧالغ ،%٥٠ مѧѧع تѧѧرك الحريѧѧة للبنѧѧوك فѧѧي تحديѧѧد نѧѧسبة الغطѧѧاء النقدي وبدون حد أدني ........" وفى ضوء مѧا سѧبق ونظѧراً لقѧرب انتهѧاء المѧدة المقѧررة فѧي نهايѧة شѧهر يونيѧو ٢٠١٢ ، واسѧتكمالا للѧدور الѧذي يقѧوم بѧه البنѧك المرآѧزي المѧصري مѧن دعѧم الاقتѧصاد القѧومي وتѧوفير احتياجات السوق المحلى من خلال عمليات التجارة الخارجية فقد تقرر الآتى : "مد فترة استثناء عمليѧات اسѧتيراد اللحѧوم والѧدواجن بجميѧع أنواعهѧا والѧسكر بجميѧع أنواعه لمدة ٦ أشهر إضافية تنتهى فѧى أخѧر شѧهر ديѧسمبر ٢٠١٢ وذلѧك مѧع مراعѧاة ضѧوابط منح الائتمان، ونتائج الدراسات الائتمانية التي يجريها آل بنك لعملائه في هذا الشأن".
