Circular No. 16: Facilities Granted to Public Sector Employees

The Palestine Monetary Authority mandates all banks operating in Palestine to submit quarterly reports on public sector employee lending facilities within the first five working days of each reporting period. This requirement, issued under Circular No. (2013/16) and supplementing Circular No. (2012/88), specifies reporting categories including housing loans, mortgages, credit cards, auto loans, overdrafts, demand deposits, Murabaha, and other facility types. Banks must report the outstanding balances for each category valued in US dollars to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate monitoring of public sector credit exposure.
