RUNOR Circular 1-1925: Valid Identification Documents – Update

The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) issued Communication "A" 8338 to update the consolidated text on valid identification documents by incorporating revised sheets per Resolution 180/25 of the Access to Public Information Agency. This circular repeals Communication B 10550 and mandates that financial entities, exchange operators, and non-financial credit and purchase card issuers verify document validity while implementing strict safeguards against forged or mismatched identification papers. The updated regulatory framework, accessible on the BCRA website with highlighted amendments, explicitly extends these verification obligations to all relevant non-financial card-issuing companies.
