Central Bank of Libya Periodic Letter (2012/2)
The Central Bank of Libya issued Periodic Letter No. 2 (2012/2) to commercial banks and the Libyan Foreign Bank, requesting their support for the Libyan Mine Action and Development Organization. The letter directs these financial institutions to secure essential funding or provide alternative assistance in a manner they deem appropriate, enabling the organization to fulfill its operational duties and responsibilities. This Bank has received a letter from Mr. / President of the Libyan Mine Action and Development Organization, bearing Reference No. 2011/128, dated 22/12/2011 AD, addressed to Mr. / Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, which requested through it that his letter be circulated to all commercial banks operating in Libya, addressing you directly with an appeal and invitation to support and assist the Libyan Mine Action and Development Organization, to secure its essential needs required for carrying out its operations, or support in the manner you deem appropriate to enable the Organization to shoulder its burdens and fulfill its duties and responsibilities.
Therefore, we enclose herewith a copy of the aforementioned letter for you to take what you deem appropriate, to support and assist it as much as possible.
