The Central Bank of Bahrain has proposed new regulatory caps on fees and charges for standard services provided by Microfinance Institutions. These limits will be formally integrated into the Business and Market Conduct Module as Appendix BC-3 within Volume 5 of the CBB Rulebook. All affected institutions must submit their written feedback, including nil responses, electronically by 10 February 2022.

Dear Sir/ Madam,
## Consultation: Caps on Fees and Charges for Standard Services
As part of the CBB’s objective to further enhance its regulatory framework, the CBB is hereby proposing new caps on fees and charges for certain standard services provided by Microfinance Institutions to be added under the Business and Market Conduct Module (Module BC) as a new Appendix ‘BC-3’ under Part B of CBB Rulebook Volume 5 (Specialised Licensees).
The proposed caps on fees and charges shall be available on the CBB website (www.cbb.gov.bh) under the “Open Consultations” Section.
The CBB requests all Microfinance Institutions to provide their comments, including “nil comments’ on the proposed caps.
Responses must be sent electronically, in an editable format, to **consultation@cbb.gov.bh**, by 10<sup>th</sup> February 2022.
