The Capital Markets Authority has officially listed HSBC Financial Services (Lebanon) SAL as its twenty-seventh financial intermediation institution. This designation, granted pursuant to Law No 161 and Board Decision No 12/8/18, authorizes the company to conduct securities advising and arranging services. The listing follows a formal December 2018 application and confirms the institution's compliance with all statutory registration requirements in Beirut.
Announcement no 49 The Chairman of the Capital Markets Authority, Pursuant to Law No 161 dated 17/8/2011 on Capital Markets, Pursuant to the decision of the Capital Markets Authority’s Board No 12/8/18 taken in its meeting held on 9/7/2018, related to the approval on granting “HSBC Financial Services (Lebanon) SAL” a license as a financial intermediation institution to provide advising and arranging services with regards to securities business, Given that the above mentioned company is duly registered at the Commercial Register in Beirut, And upon the request filed by the institution at the CMA on 10/12/2018 and including its application for being listed as a financial intermediation institution, After reviewing the documents submitted and confirming the fulfillment of legal conditions required for such listing, Decides the following: Article 1: To list HSBC Financial Services (Lebanon) SAL as a financial intermediation institution that will be attributed No 27.
