Decision on the Issuance of Convertible Mark Coinage Denominations of 5, 10, 20, and 50 Fening and 1 Convertible Mark

The Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision on March 29, 2017, to put into circulation 2017-issue coinage in denominations of 5, 10, 20, and 50 fening and 1 convertible mark. This decision mandates that all public and private entities within Bosnia and Herzegovina must accept these coins as legal tender at their nominal value for cash transactions and debt settlement. The coins are to be released into circulation successively by the Central Bank through its central office and branches in accordance with inventory levels and the issuance plan.

CENTRAL BANK OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Pursuant to Article 2, paragraph 3, item h, Article 7, item e, Article 39, and Article 42 of the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of BiH" numbers: 1/97, 29/02, 13/03, 14/03, 09/05, 76/06, and 32/07), in accordance with the Policy on the Production of Banknotes and Coins of the Convertible Mark, POV. 100-UV No.: 107/12 dated November 1, 2012, POV. UV-122-01-1-21/15 RJ dated March 31, 2015, UV-122-01-1123/15 SD dated November 23, 2015, and UV-122-01-1-43/16 SD dated June 23, 2016, and the Decision on the Plan for the Issuance of Convertible Mark Coinage Denominations of 5, 10, 20, and 50 Fening and 1 Convertible Mark, UV-122-01-1-37/17 LjJ dated March 29, 2017,

The Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its 6th meeting held on March 29, 2017,

adopts

DECISION

on the Issuance of Convertible Mark Coinage

Denominations of 5, 10, 20, and 50 Fening and 1 Convertible Mark

Article 1. The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued Convertible Mark coinage (hereinafter: KM coinage) in denominations of 5, 10, 20, and 50 fening and 1 convertible mark, 2017 issue, in accordance with the Decision of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, UV-122-01-1-32/16 SM dated May 30, 2016.

Article 2. The KM coinage referred to in Article 1 of this Decision has basic characteristics and design as established in decisions as follows: a) Decision on the Issuance, Basic Characteristics, and Issuance into Circulation of Coinage of 10, 20, and 50 Fening ("Official Gazette of BiH", 24/98 and 25/98), b) Decision on the Issuance, Basic Characteristics, and Issuance into Circulation of Coinage of 1 and 2 Convertible Marks ("Official Gazette of BiH", 20/00), c) Decision on the Issuance, Basic Characteristics, and Issuance into Circulation of Coinage in Denominations of 5 Convertible Marks and 5 Fening ("Official Gazette of BiH", 92/05).

Article 3. The KM coinage referred to in the preceding Article of this Decision is minted with the year of issue "2017".

Article 4. The KM coinage from this Decision, pursuant to the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all public and private institutions and establishments, legal and natural persons are obliged to accept at their nominal value as legal tender when offered in cash transactions, or in settlement and payment of any obligations towards them, throughout the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Article 5. Upon entry into force of this Decision, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, through the Central Office, main units, and branches, put the KM coinage from this Decision into circulation successively, in accordance with the inventory of KM coinage stocks and the plan for the issuance of KM coinage into circulation.

Article 6. This Decision enters into force on the day of its publication in the "Official Gazette of BiH", and shall also be published in the "Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH", the "Official Gazette of the Republika Srpska", and the "Official Gazette of the Brčko District of BiH".
