ESG Ratings Regulation Enforcement Act
Austria enacted this Federal Act to implement Regulation (EU) 2024/3005 on the transparency and integrity of ESG rating activities. The Financial Market Authority (FMA) is designated as the competent authority responsible for monitoring compliance and assisting ESMA with investigations and on-site inspections. The legislation further establishes procedures for cross-border cooperation, information exchange, and the enforcement of ESMA-imposed administrative penalties within Austria.
