The Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia issued Board Resolution No. 221 A to formally register the Rules RL 1-001 "General Terms for CMTPL Insurance" approved by the Armenian Motor Insurers’ Bureau. This regulatory action validates the changes and supplements to the compulsory motor third-party liability insurance framework based on the Bureau's October 2025 decision. The resolution enters into force upon registration with the Bureau or delivery to its authorized representative.

BOARD RESOLUTION

Registering Changes and Supplements to the Rules RL 1-001 “General Terms for CMTPL Insurance” of the “ Armenian Motor Insurers’ Bureau”, a Non-Governmental Organization
Pursuant to Article 2 (3) and Article 20 (“ki”) of the Republic of Armenia Law “On the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia”;
In view of the provisions set forth in Article 37 (3) of the Republic of Armenia Law “On Compulsory Insurance Against Civil Liability in Respect of the Use of Motor Vehicles”;
Whereas the “Armenian Motor Insurers’ Bureau”, a Non-Governmental Organization, applied to the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia with a letter of request, along with required documentation and deliverables, dated November 17, 2025 and December 11, 2025, asking to register the Rules RL 1-001 “General Terms for CMTPL Insurance” of the “Armenian Motor Insurers’ Bureau”, a Non-Governmental Organization; and
Considering the conclusion issued by the Licensing and Supervision Committee of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia (Minutes No. 57, dated December 24, 2025), the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia
E n a c t s:
Register the Rules RL 1-001 “General Terms for CMTPL Insurance” as approved under Decision No. 30-L, dated October 28, 2025, of the Board of the “Armenian Motor Insurers’ Bureau” NGO.
This resolution to enter into force upon being registered with the “Armenian Motor Insurers’ Bureau” NGO or on the day following its delivery, in the prescribed manner, to an authorized representative of the “Armenian Motor Insurers’ Bureau” NGO.
