Key Investor Information Document Regulation (KID-V)
The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) issued this regulation to standardize the Key Investor Information Document (KID) for UCITS approved after August 2011. It mandates a Synthetic Risk and Reward Indicator (SRRI) calculated from annualized volatility on a seven-point scale, with specific adjustment formulas for market, absolute return, total return, life cycle, and structured funds. Furthermore, the regulation defines precise methodologies for calculating and disclosing ongoing charges, including pro-rata adjustments for target funds and clear distinctions between estimated figures for new UCITS and ex-post calculations for existing ones.
