Bank of Portugal issued Instruction No. 3/2023 to regulate the cash account co-management service (CNP) provided by the central bank. This regulation implements the provisions set forth in Annex I of Instruction No. 16/2022 regarding the operation of the TARGET-PT national component. The instruction became effective on March 20, 2023, and applies to credit institutions and related financial entities.
