Business Licence (Amendment) Act 2015
The Parliament of The Bahamas issued this legislation to amend the Business Licence Act by formally defining "Apex Body" and updating Section 36 alongside the First Schedule to authorize registered insurers operating on behalf of such entities. The revised statutory framework explicitly permits these insurers to conduct business under the amended licensing regime, while establishing a corresponding schedule exception. Assent was granted on May 12, 2015, and the Act takes effect upon a date appointed by the Minister through official gazette notice.
