PS20/14: Delay to the implementation of the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF)

The Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority issued Policy Statement PS20/14 to postpone the mandatory implementation of the European Single Electronic Format for financial reporting. This decision delays the requirement for issuers to prepare annual financial reports in XHTML format with tagged data, allowing more time for market participants to adapt their systems. The regulatory change aims to ensure a smoother transition and maintain data quality standards across the European Union's reporting framework.
