Subject: Counterfeit 200 Euro Banknote.
The counterfeit banknote has the same size and dimensions as the genuine one. Below, we present images of the specifications of the genuine banknote surrounded by a green border, and the specifications of the counterfeit banknote surrounded by a red border.
- Watermark under transmitted light:
The original watermark shows shadow variation.
The image here shows no shadow variation because it is printed.
- Watermark under oblique light:
The watermark does not appear at all when viewing the paper from the side or using oblique lighting because it was produced by printing, not by varying paper density, and lacks the three-dimensional feature.
When viewing the paper from the side or using a light source at an oblique angle, the correct watermark appears three-dimensional on the paper because it was produced by varying paper density, not by printing on the paper.
