Regulations amending Finansinspektionen’s regulations and general guidelines regarding prudential requirements and capital buffers
Finansinspektionen amended its regulations on prudential requirements and capital buffers to repeal specific consolidation provisions and reorganize chapter sections. The update introduces preferential treatment for covered bonds and permits credit institutions to use external ratings with implicit government support assumptions until June 2026. Additionally, the regulations mandate that supervisory reporting data submitted by credit institutions and securities companies be specified in Swedish kronor.
