2017-06-14 | OFI/DIR/CIR/GEN/17/204The Central Bank of Nigeria has received notification from the United States Embassy in Abuja regarding the designation of five individuals, Mark John Taylor, El Shafee Elsheik, Anjem Choudary, Sami Bouras, and Shane Crawford as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT). As a result, they are subject to certain sanctions imposed by the United States Government. The Other Financial Institutions Supervision Department has been informed of this development and is requested to take appropriate actions accordingly.
