CMN Resolution No. 5,271 — Proposes to Alter Authorized Sublimits for Credit Operations with Public Sector Entities for the 2025 Fiscal Year

The National Monetary Council, issued by the Central Bank of Brazil, amends the annex to Resolution CMN No. 4,995 to establish updated annual credit sublimits for public sector entities for the 2025 fiscal year. The resolution specifies distinct borrowing caps for federal entities, state and municipal governments, and specific companies such as Correios, ENBPar, and Eletronuclear, alongside allocations for the New PAC program. These changes modify the authorized limits previously set in 2024 and define the maximum credit operations financial institutions may contract with the public sector.
