Whereas the growth in public activity in cash transactions needs to be supported by availability of adequate amounts of rupiah currency as legal tender; b. Whereas to enchance the element function on currency in the in the 10,000 (ten thousand) Rupiah denomination, it is deemed necessary to enhance dominant color and security features of the currency design; c. Now therefore, based on the considerations referred to in letter a and letter b, second amendment of Bank Indonesia Regulation concerning the Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2005 Issue of banknotes in the 10,000 (ten thousand) rupiah denomination needs to ammended. In view of: 1. Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 6/14/PBI/2004 concerning Issuance, Circulation, Revocation as Legal Tender,

Unofficial Translation Withdrawal from Circulation, and Destruction of the Rupiah Currency (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 52 of 2004, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4338) as amended by Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 9/10/PBI/2007 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 113 of 2007, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4762); HAS DECREED: To enact : SECOND AMENDMENT OF BANK INDONESIA REGULATION NUMBER 7/40/PBI/2005 CONCERNING ISSUANCE AND CIRCULATION OF THE YEAR 2005 ISSUE OF BANKNOTES IN THE 10,000 (TEN THOUSAND) RUPIAH DENOMINATION Article I Several provisions of Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 7/40/PBI/2005 concerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2005 Issue of Banknotes in The 10,000 (ten thousand) Rupiah Denomination (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 100 of 2005) as amended by Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 11/6/PBI/2009 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 43 of 2009) amended as follows:

1. The provision Article 4 shall be amended as follows: Article 4 The spesifications of the banknotes in the 10,000 (ten thousand) rupiah denomination as referred in Article 1, for year of print until 2009, are: a. color the dominant color printed on the obverse and reverse sides of the banknote is purple. b. image

Unofficial Translation b) to the left of the main image, an orange circle of a Palembangnese ornament that glows yellow under ultraviolet light; c) to the lower left of the main image, the words “BANK INDONESIA” inscribed horizontally, and directly underneath this inscription, the inscription of “SEPULUH RIBU RUPIAH” (ten thousand rupiah); d) to the upper left of the main image, inscribed horizontally, and to the right of the watermark, inscribed vertically, the number “10000” representing face value; e) to the left of the main image, below the number “10000” representing face value, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia; f) to the upper right of the main image, inscription of the latent image “BI” words in rectangular frame in the shape of Palembangese ornament which can be viewed from certain angles; g) to the upper right of the main image, the Republic of Indonesia emblem of the “Garuda Pancasila”; h) to the lower right, the Bank Indonesia logo in a octagon field, printed in optically variable ink that will change color from green to blue which can be viewed from certain angles; i) to the lower right of the main image, the number “2009” representing year of print (2009 number will be changed according to the year of print), inscription of “DEWAN GUBERNUR” (Board Of Governors), signature of the Governor of Bank Indonesia accompanied by inscription of “GUBERNUR” (Governor) and signature of a Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia and the inscription of “DEPUTI GUBERNUR” (Deputy Governor); j) background and filler consisting of wavy, slanted lines and a series of lines curved in the shape of Palembangese ornament; k) microtext legible only with the aid of a magnifying glass:

1. to the left of the main image, filling the space in the number “10000”, the inscription of “BI”;

Unofficial Translation 2) to the left of the main image, upper and lower of the rectoverso image that if held up to the light, will reveal number “10000” vertically representing face value; 3) to the upper left and underneath the main image, the inscription “BANK INDONESIA” as a background; 4) to the right of the main image, the inscription of “BANKINDONESIA10000” arranged diagonally, forming an underlying pattern basic color and Palembangnese ornament; l) minitext is small text size legible without the aid of a magnifying glass above and below the watermark, comprising the inscription of “BI10000” in curved form with varying text size. 2. reverse side a) main image depicting Rumah Limas, the traditional house of Palembang; b) to the upper right of the main image, the inscription of “BANK INDONESIA”; c) below the main image, the inscription of “DENGAN RAHMAT TUHAN YANG MAHA ESA, BANK INDONESIA MENGELUARKAN UANG SEBAGAI ALAT PEMBAYARAN YANG SAH DENGAN NILAI SEPULUH RIBU RUPIAH” (by the grace of God the Almighty, Bank Indonesia hereby issues this currency as legal tender to the value of ten thousand Rupiah); d) to the lower right, inscribed horizontally, and to the upper left, inscribed vertically, the number “10000” representing face value; e) serial number consisting of 3 (three) letters and 6 (six) digits, located to the lower left of the banknote and printed in black ink that will glows with a greenish color under ultraviolet light, and on the upper right, below the inscription of “BANK INDONESIA”, printed in red ink that will glow with a orangish color under ultraviolet light; f) to the upper right, below the serial number, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia;

Unofficial Translation g) to the lower right, below the number “10000” representing face value, the inscription “PERUM PERCETAKAN UANG RI IMP” and the issuance year of “2005”; h) to the above of the watermark, a latent image of Rumah Limas siluet that glows yellowish green under ultraviolet light; i) to the lower left of the main image, a latent image of the number “10000” in a rectangular form that glows yellowish green under ultraviolet light; j) to the upper left and right of the main image, the number of “10000” forming an underlying pattern of basic color; k) microtext legible only with the aid of a magnifying glass, at the:

1. to the upper right of the Rumah Limas, the number 10000 forming tree leaves;
2. to the lower right of the main image, the inscription of “BI”, filling the space in the number “10000”; l) minitext is small size text legible without the aid of a magnifying glass, at the:

4. To the upper right of the inscription “BANKINDONESIA” and below the number “10000”, the inscription of “BANKINDONESIA” forming circular lines. c. material the specifications of the banknote paper, as follows:

1. made of cotton fiber;
2. length 145 mm and width 65 mm;
3. light purple color;
4. does not glow under ultraviolet light;
5. watermark depicting the National Hero Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II and electrotype in logo of BI and Palembangnese ornament;
6. woven security thread with repeated micro inscription of “BI10000” that glows red under ultraviolet light.

7. Article 5A is deleted. Article II The year 2005 issue of banknotes in the 10,000 (ten thousand) Rupiah denomination issued by Bank Indonesia before the enactment of this Bank Indonesia Regulation, are declared still remain as a legal tender along has not been revoked and withdrawn from circulation. Article III This Bank Indonesia Regulation shall come into force on the date of its enactment. So everyone knows, it is ordered that this rule be published in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
