Whereas the issuance and circulation of Rupiah is addressed to provide cash in society as an instrument of payment (legal tender) in the Republic of Indonesia; b. Whereas to enchance the element function on currency in the 20,000 (twenty thousand) Rupiah denomination as legal tender in Republic of Indonesia, it is deemed necessary to enhance the security features in Rupiah design; c. Now therefore, based on the considerations referred to in letter a and letter b, second amendment of Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 6/29/PBI/2004 concerning Issuance and Circulation of The Year 2004 Issue of Banknotes in the 20,000 (Twenty Thousand) Rupiah Denomination needs to be amended; In view of: 1. Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 6/14/PBI/2004 concerning Issuance, Circulation, Revocation as Legal Tender, Withdrawal from Circulation, and Destruction of the Rupiah Currency (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 52 of 2004, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4338) as amended by Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 9/10/PBI/2007 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 113 of 2007, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4762); HAS DECREED To enact : SECOND AMENDMENT OF BANK INDONESIA REGULATION NUMBER 6/29/PBI/2004 CONCERNING ISSUANCE AND CIRCULATION OF THE YEAR 2004 ISSUE OF BANKNOTES IN THE 20,000 (TWENTY THOUSAND) RUPIAH DENOMINATION. Article I Several provisions in the Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 6/29/PBI/2004 concerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2004 Issue of Banknotes in the 20,000 (Twenty Thousand) Rupiah Denomination (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 163 of 2004) as amended by Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 11/7/PBI/2009 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 44 of 2009) amended as follows:

1. The provisions of Article 4 shall be amended as follow: Article 4 The specifications of the banknotes in the 20,000 (twenty thousand) Rupiah denomination referred to in Article 1, for year of print starting from January 2009 until June 2011, are: a. color the dominant color printed on the obverse and reverse sides of the banknote is green. b. images
2. obverse side a) main image depicting a National Hero and underneath the inscription of “OTO ISKANDAR DINATA”; b) the number of “20000” representing face value, inscribed horizontally to the upper left of the main image and vertically to the right; c) to the left of the main image, directly below the number “20000” representing face value, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia; d) to the lower left of the main image, the words “BANK INDONESIA” inscribed horizontally, and directly underneath this inscription, the inscription of “DUA PULUH RIBU RUPIAH” (twenty thousand Rupiah); e) to the left of the main image and above “BANK INDONESIA” word, inscription of the blind code shaped 2 (two) rectangular that feels roughed when touched; f) to the right of the main image inscription of the latent image “BI” word in rectangular frame in the shape of West Java ornament which can be viewed at certain angles; g) the upper right of the main image, the Republic of Indonesia emblem of the “Garuda Pancasila”; h) to the lower right, the Bank Indonesia logo in a pentagonal field, printed in optical variable ink that will change color from magenta to green when viewed at certain angles;

Unofficial Translation i) to the right of the main image, the number “2009” representing year of print (2009 number will be changed according to the year of print), inscription of “DEWAN GUBERNUR” (Board Of Governors), signature of the Governor of Bank Indonesia accompanied by inscription of “GUBERNUR” (Governor) and signature of a Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia and the inscription of “DEPUTI GUBERNUR” (Deputy of Governor); j) background and filler consisting of wavy, slanted lines and a series of lines curved in the shape of certain ornament; k) microtext with the inscription of “Bank Indonesia” or “BI”, legible only under magnifying glass, at the right of the image of the National Hero Oto Iskandar Di Nata, forming vertical lines from top to bottom; l) minitext is small size text that legible without magnifying glass, above and below the water mark in the form of the words “BANKINDONESIA” shaped curves with different text size. 2. reverse side a) main image of a worker harvesting tea; b) below the main image, the inscription of “DENGAN RAHMAT TUHAN YANG MAHA ESA, BANK INDONESIA MENGELUARKAN UANG SEBAGAI ALAT PEMBAYARAN YANG SAH DENGAN NILAI DUA PULUH RIBU RUPIAH” (by the Grace of God the Almighty, Bank Indonesia hereby issues this currency as legal tender to the value of twenty thousand rupiah); c) to the upper left of the main image, an invisibly printed inscription of the number “20000” representing face value that will glows greenish yellow under ultraviolet light; d) to the lower left the watermark, an invisibly printed image of a tea leaf that glows with greenish under ultraviolet light; e) serial number consisting of 3 (three) letters and 6 (six) digits, located to the lower left of the banknote and printed in black ink that will glows with a greenish color under ultraviolet light, and on the upper

7. Article 5A is deleted Article II The year 2004 issue of banknotes in the the 20.000 (twenty thousand) Rupiah denomination issued by Bank Indonesia before the enactment of this Bank Indonesia Regulation, are declared still remain as a legal tender along has not been revoked and withdrawn from circulation. Article III This Bank Indonesia Regulation shall come into force on the date of its enactment.
